Hot Air Balloons
An illustration for "skyline" and "sky"(Illustration Friday and Blind Contour First Friday-July).
Hot air balloons have always been a favorite of mine. I live very close to two lakes where often ballooners will lift off, sometimes the sky will be dotted with them. I was able to get inside one last year and actually lift off. What a thrill; my husband and I plan to take a balloon ride in the future.

This is so bright and cheery, I really like the contrast between the two styles you have used.
Hey Maggie! I love these and I love hot air balloons. A few years ago I went to the festival in New Mexico. It was incredible. You would love it! Love the freeness of your illustrations.
I'm very impressed that this is a blind countour. Mine always look like a ball of knotted yarn. I need practise. Great illo as well. I've always wanted to try hot air ballooning.
