Dear Mr. and Mrs. Campbell,
Both Holey and I are near sighted which came about due to all the diggin' we do and we're not much for writin' so we've asked our illustrator friend Maggie to write this letter to you. Thanks for letting us take up residence in your yard. Did you know we can dig 100 to 150 feet in a single night at a rate of a foot per minute? Honest. We only sleep for a few hours each day and can eat over half our body weight daily! That would be like you eating more than 50 hamburgers in a day. We'd really enjoy it if you'd leave us a hot meal of slugs and earthworms occasionally as all this diggin' makes us hungry. Other than that, we're pretty much happy. Holey and I say livin' at the Campbell's "digs" is the best "hole-tel" in town and we've told all of our friends how great livin' here is and they all want to come and take up residence here too!
