Two weeks ago my
M & M and I planned and hosted a surprise 80th birthday party for his mother. I think I mentioned this in a previous
post. We all had such a wonderful time and mother was so surprised and delighted to see the family and friends who arrived for her party. Of the many gifts she received, we gave her a miniature
cake stand and a beautiful one-of-a-kind mosaic cupcake made by the very talented
Michelle Legler. The cupcake was so darling and just the right size for the stand. I also gave her a framed print of my
Marie Antoinette illustration. One of her closest friends arrived with a photo of when she was younger and I couldn't resist doing a little magic with Photoshop. She is just as lovely as ever, don't you agree?

Oh my....your mother is a vision. Now and then. Wow. Isn't that mosaic spectacular?? I bet she loved it. I'm not sure if there is anything in the whole world that can beat this Marie Antoinette piece. I can't count how many times I've come over here to stare at it.
Lovely gifts! And a lovely mom!
She is GORGEOUS!! Wow!! And she's so very lucky to have you as a daughter-in-law! (Did I get that right? I see others have said 'mother' but I can't go back and check without losing this comment! What wonderful presents, especially the Marie Antoinette illustration, which I loved on first sight!
