I'm an illustrative designer with a degree in graphic design and illustration from SC4 in Michigan, where I received the Joseph Burke Memorial Scholarship Award for Excellence in Design, and at Kent State University in Ohio.  After living in California and working as an in-house graphic designer creating work for editorial, print and web, I moved to the Midwest to be closer to my family.  It was then that I began to focus on my first love, illustration.

I enjoy creating colorful, detailed illustrations, paintings and patterns steeped in charm, with a touch of whimsy.  I'm inspired by both fresh colors as well as more subdued palettes and enjoy the versatility of creating illustrations in pen-and-ink and paints although I'm quite comfortable working digitally. Often my work will cross over from one medium to the next depending on the project.
