Petals and Rays

Signs of spring! Blossoms of flowering cherry, dogwood and many other varieties I cannot name but I can capture them in my lens. Beautiful aren't they? Oh, and how marvelous they smell!Tomorrow I am off to shop for flowers for the garden. It is suppose to be cool and rain but I won't let that stop me, no, not with this type of encouragement egging me on.
The sunshine and rays streaming through the clouds; lovely aren't they? My husband said, "capture them please." "Oh yes" I say. God has touched the petals and the rays with his brush of magnificence.

I absolutely love flowers, especially irises and they are all a bloom in our gardens now. Several of these irises are from my grandmother's garden. Sadly she passed away 8 years ago at the age of 83. I miss her so much but am greatful that she passed on her love of flowers to me. My sister-in-law had some irises from Grandma that she planted in her gardens in Florida. One day I received a package of my grandmother's iris bulbs from my SIL in the mail-I was just so tickled to receive them. My Grandmother had given me many varieties but we moved so many times in the past few years, I couldn't get them to survive the moves. Thank you Nelda Jane, I love ya girl!
